Praise for Home and Dry

Richard is to be congratulated for producing a keen personal statement that's also warmly accessible; his guitar playing is pretty stunning throughout, though with a very natural approach to both phrasing and attack that refuses to shout its technique but instead is content to quietly impress the listener. If there really was a lost generation of male folk singers, this album is one that shows the Y chromosone is definitely back and contributing the world of contemporary folk. There is a strength to Kitson's writing that gives you the feeling that his songs will have the potential to survive the long march into becoming traditional. Neil King, FATEA

"When I grow up I want to play guitar like Richard Kitson". Otis Gibbs

"His inventive finger-picking and slide guitar work underlines a quality of musicianship others can only hope to aspire to" The Plug, Sheffield
